Happenix is a sports technology platform that helps users discover and book sports venues, participate in tournaments, and find other players to play with.

Elparx India Private Limited acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data covered by this Privacy Policy, meaning that we determine the purposes for which and the manner in which your personal data is processed.

Our details

This Privacy Policy applies to the Happenix platform, including the Happenix Player application, Happenix Partner application, website, and related services.

Happenix Connect

Happenix Connect is a player discovery and matchmaking feature that helps users find people to play with.

Happenix Connect does not process or facilitate payments between players. Any payment or other settlement between players takes place outside the Happenix platform.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal data means information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, as defined under applicable data protection law.

Personal data does not include information that has been irreversibly anonymised so that you can no longer be identified from it.

We collect personal data that you provide to us, information generated through your use of Happenix, and certain information provided by third-party services when you choose to use them.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Happenix.

3.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use particular Happenix features, we may collect:

Happenix does not currently provide a feature allowing users to upload profile photographs directly.

If you sign in with Google and Google provides a profile photograph, we store the image link provided by Google. The image itself remains hosted by Google.

3.2 Information From Authentication Providers

You may sign in to Happenix using your mobile number, Google, or Apple.

Depending on the sign-in method you select, we may receive:

• Your mobile number and one-time passcode when you sign in by phone;
• Your name and email address and, where provided, profile image information from Google; or
• Your Apple account identifier and the name and email address that Apple makes available to us.

If you use Apple's private email relay, Happenix will receive the relay email address provided by Apple rather than your personal email address.

3.3 Booking and Transaction Information

When you make or participate in a booking, we may collect information necessary to create, manage, confirm, and administer the booking, including:

• Booking details;
• Venue and court information;
• Date and time;
• Booking status;
• Amount payable or paid;
• Participant information; and
• Payment and transaction references.

Our payment provider processes your underlying payment credentials.

Happenix does not receive or store your card number, CVV, or card expiry date.

We may retain transaction information such as:

• Transaction ID;
• Payment reference;
• Payment status; and
• Billing and booking records.

3.4 Payout Information

If you are a venue owner or tournament organiser receiving payouts through Happenix, we may collect:

• Bank account holder name;
• Bank account number;
• IFSC code; and
• UPI ID.

We share this information with our payout provider where necessary to verify your account and process payouts.

3.5 Location Information

If you grant Happenix permission to access your device location, we may use your location to:

• Find sports venues near you; and
• Sort venue results based on distance.

Happenix uses location information for these foreground, user-initiated purposes and does not track your location in the background.

Location information used solely to provide nearby-venue discovery is not stored against your Happenix account.

If you create a Happenix Connect listing, however, the coordinates associated with that listing may be stored as part of the listing.

You can disable location access for Happenix at any time through your device settings.

3.6 Device and Technical Information

When you use Happenix, we may automatically receive certain technical information, including:

• Device type;
• Device model;
• Operating system;
• Application version;
• Error and crash information;
• Performance diagnostics;
• IP address; and
• Information necessary to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.

We may use your IP address to apply rate limits and help detect or prevent abuse, including requests made when you are not signed in.

3.7 Activity and Reliability Information

We may collect information about your activity on Happenix, including:

• Bookings you make;
• Games you join; and
• Whether you attend games you have joined.

Your participation history may be used to generate a reliability score that can be displayed to other users through Happenix Connect.

3.8 Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may store a notification token associated with your device together with information such as your device model.

This information allows us to deliver notifications to your device.

You may disable push notifications at any time through your device or Happenix settings.

We use personal data only for purposes connected with operating, providing, securing, and improving Happenix and the services you request.

These purposes include:

Providing Happenix Services

We use personal data to:

• Create and manage your account;
• Authenticate your identity and sign you in;
• Provide venue discovery;
• Process and manage bookings;
• Confirm bookings with users and venue owners;
• Facilitate tournament registrations;
• Enable Happenix Connect;
• Maintain player profiles and preferences;
• Process payments and refunds; and
• Process payouts to eligible venue owners and organisers.

Communications

We may use your contact information to send:

• One-time passcodes;
• Booking confirmations;
• Booking reminders;
• Payment and refund updates;
• Security alerts;
• Service notifications; and
• Other communications necessary to provide Happenix services.

We may also send promotional communications where you have provided the required consent or otherwise where permitted by applicable law.

Safety, Security, and Abuse Prevention

We may use technical and activity information to:

• Detect and prevent fraud;
• Prevent abuse of the platform;
• Apply rate limits;
• Protect user accounts;
• Investigate technical issues;
• Detect security incidents; and
• Maintain the security and integrity of Happenix.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

We may process and retain personal data where necessary to comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or other obligations.

Improving Happenix

We may use technical diagnostics and other permitted information to identify errors, understand system performance, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability of our services.

Where processing requires your consent, we will obtain consent as required by applicable law. Where applicable law permits processing without consent, we may process personal data on another lawful basis available to us.

Some Happenix features require your permission before we process particular information.

For example:

• Location: You can choose whether Happenix may access your device location.
• Push notifications: You can choose whether Happenix may send notifications to your device.
• Promotional communications: You can choose whether to receive promotional messages where consent is required.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before you withdrew your consent.

If withdrawing consent means that we no longer have a lawful basis to process particular information, we will stop the relevant processing and delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients where necessary to provide Happenix services, operate the platform, process transactions, protect users, or comply with applicable law.

6.1 Other Happenix Users

Happenix Connect

When you create or join a Happenix Connect listing, other users who can view the listing may see:

• Your name;
• Venue;
• Date;
• Time;
• Your participation in the listing; and
• Any note provided by the host.

Your phone number and email address are not displayed to other players through Happenix Connect.

Booking Participants

If another user adds you as a participant to a booking, the booking owner may be able to see the name and phone number recorded for you.

6.2 Venue Owners

When you book a venue, the relevant venue owner may receive information reasonably necessary to fulfil and administer your booking, including:

• Your name;
• Mobile number;
• Venue or court;
• Date and time;
• Booking status; and
• Booking amount.

6.3 Tournament Organisers

When you register for a tournament, the relevant organiser may receive information necessary to administer the tournament, including:

• Your name;
• Team name;
• Names of your teammates;
• Jersey number, where applicable;
• Seeding information, where applicable; and
• Payment status, where applicable.

Tournament organisers are not provided with your mobile number or email address through this process.

6.4 Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate certain parts of Happenix.

These providers may process personal data on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

6.5 Government, Regulatory, and Legal Disclosures

We may disclose personal data where required or permitted by applicable law, including in response to:

• A valid legal process;
• Court order;
• Government or regulatory request;
• Law enforcement request;
• Statutory obligation; or
• Other legally enforceable requirement.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Happenix, our users, or others, to the extent permitted by law.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, operate Happenix, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or otherwise as permitted by applicable law.

Other account information is generally retained while your account remains active.

Financial and Transaction Records

Booking, payment, and payout records may need to be retained after account closure to satisfy applicable financial, tax, accounting, regulatory, or legal requirements.

Where technically and legally appropriate, retained records will be de-identified or otherwise separated from your active account information.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal data.

These may include the right to:

• Obtain information about your personal data;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• Request erasure of personal data;
• Raise a grievance regarding our processing of personal data; and
• Nominate another person to exercise applicable rights on your behalf where permitted by law.

Accessing Your Information

Where available, you may access or download information associated with your Happenix account through the application.

You may also contact us at support@happenix.in to exercise applicable rights.

Correction

You may update certain account information directly through the Happenix application.

If information cannot be corrected through the application, you may contact us and request correction.

Erasure

You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to information we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.

Account deletion is described in Section 13.

Nomination

Where required under applicable Indian data protection law, you may nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.

Where the Happenix application provides a Promotions & Offers setting, you may disable it to stop receiving promotional communications.

You may continue to receive essential service communications, such as:

• Booking confirmations;
• Booking reminders;
• Payment updates;
• Refund information;
• Security alerts; and
• Other communications necessary to provide services you have requested.

We take privacy concerns seriously.

If you have a question, concern, or complaint about how Happenix handles your personal data, please contact our Grievance Officer.

Grievance Officer

When you contact us, please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate your concern.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India or another competent authority in accordance with applicable law and the procedures applicable at that time.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures include protections for data transmitted between Happenix applications and our servers.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and authentication information confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Venue and Court Photographs

Photographs of venues and courts uploaded by venue owners may be served through publicly accessible web addresses so that they can be displayed within Happenix.

Venue owners should not upload personal, confidential, or sensitive information in venue photographs.

Security Incidents and Data Breaches

If Happenix becomes aware of a personal data breach, we will assess and respond to the incident and make notifications to affected individuals and relevant authorities where required by applicable law.

Some of our service providers may process or store personal data outside India.

For example, certain services provided by Sentry operate using infrastructure in the European Union, while Google, Apple, and Amazon Web Services operate infrastructure and services in multiple jurisdictions.

Where personal data is transferred outside India, we will do so in accordance with applicable Indian law and any restrictions or requirements imposed by the Central Government or other competent authority.

We may update our service providers or data-processing arrangements from time to time as our platform evolves.

You can request deletion of your Happenix account at any time.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Subject to applicable legal and operational requirements, account deletion will remove or delete information associated with your account, including:

• Name;
• Email address;
• Phone number;
• Profile image link;
• City;
• Saved addresses;
• Favourites;
• Sports preferences;
• Notification settings;
• Player statistics;
• Happenix Connect listings;
• Payout details; and
• Registered devices.

Notifications associated with the account will stop.

Information We May Retain

Some information may remain after account deletion where retention is necessary or permitted by law.

This may include:

• Booking records;
• Payment records;
• Payout records;
• Financial or accounting records; and
• Information contained in another user's booking record.

Where technically and legally appropriate, retained records will no longer be linked to your active Happenix account.

For example, if another user entered your name or phone number as a guest participant in their booking, that information forms part of that user's booking record and may remain associated with that record.

If you are a venue owner or tournament organiser with an outstanding payout or upcoming confirmed booking, we may need to retain certain account information until the relevant transaction or obligation has been completed.

Where this applies, the application may notify you.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Happenix Applications

The Happenix mobile applications do not currently use:

• Cookies;
• Advertising identifiers;
• Cross-application tracking; or
• Advertising networks.

The Happenix applications do not currently use analytics tracking software for advertising purposes.

Happenix Website

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the website, maintain functionality, or provide services you request.

If our website introduces additional cookies or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.

Happenix is intended for users who are legally permitted to use our services under applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect or process children's personal data in circumstances where such processing is prohibited by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires parental or verifiable parental consent for processing a child's personal data, we will implement the relevant requirements before processing such data.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to Happenix in circumstances where it should not have been collected, please contact us at support@happenix.in.

Happenix may integrate with or provide access to third-party services, including authentication, payment, mapping, messaging, hosting, and other technology services.

Those third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third parties that operate independently of Happenix.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before using them where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

• Changes to Happenix or our services;
• Changes in how we process personal data;
• New or modified features;
• Changes to our service providers;
• Changes in applicable law or regulatory requirements; or
• Improvements to our privacy and security practices.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will publish the revised version on the Happenix website and, where appropriate, within the Happenix applications.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you or otherwise bring the change to your attention where required by applicable law.

The Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the current version became effective.
